WORDY5
The goal
of wordy5 is
to find five 5-letter words in the letter grid by connecting neighboring
letters up, down, left or right. There are five initial colored squares,
and each one belongs to a different word.
HOW TO PLAY
You form words by dragging paths over neighboring letters. You could
choose the
word PROSE by
dragging the letters P, R, O, S and E in order from left to
right.
Alternatively you could choose ROPED by
dragging the letters D, E, P, O, and R in reverse order.
However, for this grid, the five letters R, O, P, E and D as
shown below is invalid since it does not include one of the
initial colored squares.
If you change your mind, double tap (or click) on a colored
path to reset chosen letters. Once all squares are colored,
select Submit to see if you have solved the puzzle!
Scoring
When you form a five-letter word, your score increases by
one. Since you have to make five words, this means the lowest,
and best, possible score is a 5. If you change your mind
and remove a five-letter word you had previously formed, your
score remains the same, but it will continue to increase with
each new five-letter word you form.
You earn more stars based on fewer guesses. Check out your
total stars earned in the game statistics.
Settings
If you Enable Hints then you will be prevented from
forming invalid five-letter words. You still might be unable to
solve a puzzle even though you only form valid words because the
final solution must color every square in the grid.
If you choose the Underline Initial setting, then the
five initial colored squares will show a dashed underline when
selected. This can be helpful when deciding whether to remove a
word you have already formed.
A
new wordy5
is available each day!
Different Versions
You can use the menu in the upper left corner of the app to choose
three different
sized wordy
games (4x4, 5x5 and 6x6) as well as challenging arrangements
with longer words (7x3, 8x4 and 9x4).
